We have achieved important firsts too – it was the very
first hospital to start a Level 3 NICU in the private sector in Maharashtra,
the very first in India to start using nitric oxide for the treatment of
infants and the very first to start using surfactant in the country.
The hospital pioneered the concept of Neo Natal IntensiveCare Unit (NICU) in the country. This is a combination of a state-of-the-art
neonatal center and a well-equipped ambulance which is equipped with all the
possible equipment that is available in an NICU. This makes the transport of
the infant safer and easier, which, otherwise is frequently disastrous in adult
ambulances. We also proudly proclaim to have the largest, well equipped
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in India. The staff includes a total of 20
full-time Pediatricians including 3 full-time Neonatologists and 3 full-time
senior Pediatric Intensivists, all with long-standing experience.
